Kate's 5 Easy, Everyday Eco-Friendly Tips

The world is on fire.
Quite literally, July was the hottest month ever recorded on Earth, according to a new report by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Given the year we're all having, this news tends to feel somewhat insurmountable. However, not all is lost! Humanity can still prevent the Earth from getting hotter.
But what can little old me do, I hear you ask? At this stage in the game, every little bit, really does count. So I've decided to put together a few VERY simple steps to start living a more sustainable life:
1. Reduce your single-use plastic waste - Use reusable sealable bags, work with biodegradable cooking papers, travel with reusable coffee cups and water bottles and dump those straws altogether.
2. Recycled Materials - Look for products that are not only recyclable but have also been made from recycled contents and materials. Kate's Kitchen Drawer Kraft Bags and Kraft Food Tray are good examples of this.
3. Use Material Bags for your Supermarket Shopping - It's an oldie but such a goodie. Keep a bunch of material or paper bags in your car boot or handbag at all times.
4. Sign Up for a Fruit and Veg Box - Not for everyone but these boxes tend to be lightly packaged and with minimal plastic. It also encourages healthier and creative cooking for the whole family.
5. Compostable or Reusable Coffee Pods - Coffee, coffee, coffee. We love it, we need it. But let's try reduce the waste that it accumulates.
I know it sounds a bit twee but every, teeny, tiny little bit, can make a difference.
