Baking Paper vs. Wax Paper - What's the Difference?

This is a question I've been asked a lot and it's a good one: What is the difference between baking paper and wax paper or are they the same?
They are definitely not the same but they can be used for some of the same things.
Baking Paper is double sided silconised paper that is grease and moisture resistant specially treated for oven use. It's a versatile product with multiple uses, such as lining baking trays and pans, preventing food going into the freezer from sticking together and saving time on cleaning. It's generally available in the colours Bleached White or Unbleached Natural Brown.
Wax Paper has a thin coating of wax on each side, is moisture-proof and a functional and ethical alternative to plastic wrap. Wax Paper is the slightly more economical paper to go with for tasks like wrapping food, rolling dough or covering countertops. However, wax paper cannot and must not go into the oven. The paper is not heat-resistant and the wax isn't suitable for the oven or microwave.
And what's Parchment Paper I hear you ask? Another good question! It's exactly the same as Baking Paper. You can use them interchangeably.
I LOVE both of these papers. I use them all the time and the paper quality is excellent. They are available to purchase online here. Both products are recyclable, biodegradable, halaal certified and ISO approved.
I hope this was helpful!
